The
Multishower Galant 6
L from Pusle Eco Shower is an ingenious design
for a shower
head that reduces the amount of water used by the shower, while still
giving you a fulfilling shower experience. Other water saving shower
heads introduce air to reduce the volume of water used. This cools the
water (the cold feet syndrome), and causes the water to froth which can
make it harder
to rinse off soap and shampoo properly. By contrast the Multishower
uses a small turbine vane in the shower head to create the same effect
as a rain storm - lots and lots of large drops of water falling at high
speed

The Multishower creates the same effect as turning on and off the water
30 to 40 times per second. It maintains the pressure, temperature and
comfort of a standard shower but uses the least amount of water
possible. The head can be adjusted allowing you to choose between soft,
large drops, strong jets, or a rapidly pulsating massage jet.
The Galant 6L model of Multishower
uses
just 6 litres of water per minute which compares with 8-9
litres per minute for a gravity fed shower, or 18-25 litres per minute
for a power shower. The 40-60% savings on your water bill and your hot
water energy bill will pay for this product quickly.
The technical bit - how
it works. The shower head contains a small turbine blade
that looks like a screw. When the water shoots into the showerhead it
rebounds from the underside of the "screw" and is retained in an
expansion chamber where the pressure builds up. When the pressure
reaches a specific level, the water bounces back and out of the
chamber. The
water flow is interrupted 30-40 times per second to simulate a
continuous water spray. The bursts of water are so rapid that the body
does not detect any pulsating.
You
will get the impression that you are consuming twice the amount of
water that you really are.
One of the best features of the Multishower is that it does not block
up due to calcification. The vane structure leaves a relatively large
ring formation for the water outlet and the Multishower has no sieve
plate. Both these design elements mean that calcium deposits do not
build up and block or choke the shower head.

minute independent of the pressure as long as the supply pressure is

Suitability:
The Multishower needs a pressure of 0.5 bar to operate the
inner turbine system. This means that your shower needs about 5 metres
of head (height) for the Multishower to be suitable. As a rule of thumb
if your shower head is at ceiling level on one floor of your property
and the hot water tank is on the floor above, there will not be
sufficient pressure. If the water tank is is two floors above there
should be sufficient pressure for the Multishower to operate correctly.
Electric showers will in general not be suitable.
