Ecopure Eco-9 Water Treatment Unit

Introducing the Eco-9 Water Storage Treatment Unit - the only device of its kind. Placed directly into a bath or water tank - for example caravans, boats or water butts in the garden - this water filter purifies water to rid it of chlorine, e-coli,  herbicides, pesticides, solvents, lead, aluminium, bad odours and much more. The smallest model in the range is ideal for the volume of water you use in a bath or caravan or boat water tank. The larger ones suit water butts, ponds, spas etc.

How does it work?

Put the filter cylinder, which houses the Ceramic Media Balls, straight into your bath or water tank. The media balls are only 3-5mm in diameter and get to work as a cluster within the filter system on all water that sits in your water butt or other water tank. These tiny, but efficient balls are also 100% biodegradable, which means they can be scattered through your garden or outdoor area at the end of their life to improve soil drainage and aid plant growth.

The benefits of using Ceramic Media Balls

As water passes through the Eco-9 Water Storage Treatment Unit, ceramic media balls help to balance pH and re-mineralise the water you store for use in your garden, caravan or on your boat. The water filter helps keep this stored water bacteria free and can also be used as a legionella control system. It is ideal for stopping water in rarely used water butts from turning stagnant and smelly.

The water filter is especially good for those who suffer from eczema and other intolerances, such as chlorine intolerance. For everyone else, you can simply enjoy softer, scale-free water that contains dramatically lower levels of contaminants (see the table below).

Sizes to suit: from baths to ponds

Small size: The smallest model (Eco-9 100) is suitable for your bath. It treats the water to be softer, whilst reducing chlorine, fluoride and heavy metals which may be in the water. Simply place the Eco-9 100 in the bath near the taps, run the bath, and leave the unit in the bath once run for about 5 – 10 minutes. Then remove Eco9, and enjoy a more comfortable bath. Note: it must NOT be used with soaps, bath salts, shampoos etc. Always remove the Eco-9 100 before adding anything but water to the bath.

Medium size: Boat and caravan water tanks are usually filled with municipal water which is drinkable at first, but as it stands over the course of the journey, the quality gets worse. Hence most caravans and boats are now installed with water filters, to remove some contaminants from the water before ingesting. However, a normal GAC (carbon) filter only removes bad smells and tastes, and chlorine.

By using this immersible water treatment unit first there are 2 benefits:

• your water will be that much healthier to drink before it even reaches the filter
• your tank will need to be cleaned out a lot less often. Usually tanks have to be cleaned out at least once during the season to remove bacteria and algae. This unit could keep your tank clear for up to 2 years before a clean is needed. This means a saving of money on buying ammonia / Milton etc. for the cleaning and also a considerable time-saving benefit. The tanks will still need to be emptied in the off season, but no cleaning will be needed

Large sizes: the Eco-9 is available to suit large tanks or small ponds of up to 2000 litres. It will last in excess of 24 months, giving your water that is clear and free from anaerobic bacteria, algae and other organisms.

• Please do not assume that this filter will turn un-drinkable water into drinkable water. It will however make undrinkable water suitable for plants, ponds etc. and improve the quality of drinkable water stored in tanks (e.g. in caravans and boats).
