The
Ecopure Eco-11 Garden Hose Filter
is an in-line water filter to improve the quality of your hose
water. Fitted directly to your garden hose, this water filter
purifies tap water
to rid it of chlorine, e-coli, herbicides, pesticides, solvents,
lead, aluminum, bad odours and much more to leave you with nothing but
goodness.
How does it work?
Attach the filter which houses the
Ceramic
Media Balls directly to your hose pipe
.
The Ceramic Balls are only 3-5mm in diameter and get to work as a
cluster within
the filter system on all the water that flows through your hose
pipe.
These tiny but efficient balls are also
100% biodegradable,
which means they can be scattered through your garden at the end of
their life to improve soil drainage and aid plant growth.
The benefits of using Ceramic Media Balls
As tap water or water from your water butt (a
pump
is required for use with a water butt) passes through the Eco-11 Garden
Hose Filter, ceramic media balls help to
balance the pH and re-mineralise the
water you use. Not only does this produce
clean and safe water for use on your
flowers and vegetables, it's also great for washing your car and
filling up paddling pools or pet water bowls.
Ease of use
- Simply screw the Garden Hose Filter onto your hose pipe - no more
work required! Push fit fittings are supplied.
- Nothing but water can get through the pores of the media balls,
producing purer water
What to expect
- The Eco-11 Garden Hose Filter is 190mm long by 50mm wide
- Fits directly onto any tap or hose pipe without fuss using
supplied push fittings
- Some
loss of water pressure (the water needs to have contact time with the
media to ensure effectiveness), just continue to use your hose pipe as
you
would normally. Maximum flow is 3 litres per minute
- Please do not assume
that this filter will turn un-drinkable water into drinkable water. It
will however make undrinkable water suitable for plants, ponds etc
Eco friendly
- The Eco-11 Garden Hose Filter is 100%
recyclable when
you've finished with it - with average usage the filter will last you
an entire year before you need a new one (equating to approximately
10,000 litres of water assuming normal water quality and usage)
- Ceramic Media Balls are completely biodegradable and therefore
not damaging to the environment

Note that water supplied directly from a water butt will not have
sufficient pressure to allow you to use the Eco-11 filter. To use with
your water butt first make sure that the water diverted into the water
butt is free from leaves and particles and then use a
water
pump to increase the pressure. If the Eco-11 does become blocked
with leaves simply reverse it to rinse out the debris.
