The Steelpump X-AJE80P is a challenger to the classic Forta Duo as the water pump of choice for the water butt owner. It is a robust, durable, quality pump that can be used underwater, or outside the water tank. The Garden Steelpump is ideal for pumping rainwater from a water butt or larger water tank to irrigate your garden or wash your car. It is submersible so it can be left inside a water tank (that has a lid). The Steelpump is clever enough to start pumping when you open the tap and switch off again when you close it - so no more sprinting back to turn it off when you have finished watering.

A high quality pump for water butts and water tanks

The Garden Steelpump is so versatile that it can be used in countless applications:

• pumping water from one water tank or water butt to another
• pumping water through an open ended hose
• use with a hose that has a trigger gun on it
• use with jet nozzles (it provides a high pressure water supply)
• use with sprinklers for your lawn

The pump has electronic flow control and dry-run protection. This means that if your water butt or water tank runs out, the pump will stop. It also means that if you use a trigger gun on your hose, when you stop the flow, the pump will stop pumping so you don't need to run back and switch it off.

The Steelpump has a rugged design. It can be left outside all year round, impervious to rain and flood, and it can even be placed inside the water tank (if you have a tank that has a removable lid). It needs a filtered rainwater supply to ensure reliable operation. The pump can supply water at 4 bar of pressure and can push water uphill as high as 40 metres. Using the pump, the flow rate through a 1/2 inch hosepipe is similar to mains water. This performance is achieved with a motor that is less powerful than the Forta Duo due to the improved efficiency of its centrifugal pump.

What else do you need with the pump?

Each Garden Steelpump is supplied with a 1 inch Female inlet port, and a 1.25 inch Female outlet port. An outlet multi-hosetail reducer is available that allows you to connect 1/2 inch,  3/4 inch or 1 inch hose. In addition you may need a kit to connect the pump to your water tank or water butt. 	Garden Steelpump carry handle If you plan to carry your Garden Steelpump around to different locations in your garden, then this optional carry handle (please select at the bottom of this page) will make the transportation much easier and more comfortable. If you plan to leave your pump connected to your water butt, you probably won't need this.
	Outlet multi-hosetail reducer This versatile device attaches to the outlet port of the pump and allows you to connect a 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, or 1 inch garden hose to the pump
	1 inch BSP Pump to Harcostar Tank Connector Kit. This is for connecting the Garden Steelpump to the Harcostar 700 litre tank. It includes a 60mm plastic extension to fit the recessed connection point. The connecting hose is 1 metre.
	1 inch BSP Pump to 3/4 inch Connector Kit. This connector kit enables you to connect the Garden Steelpump to tanks with a 3/4 inch threaded BSP ports. It is ideal for the 750 litre Wall tank, the 3P column tank, the 3P Lifestyle tank, and the Utility Tank. The connecting hose is 1 metre.
	1 inch BSP Pump to 1 inch Tank Connector Kit. This connector kit enables you to connect the Garden Steelpump or other 1 inch BSP pumps to tanks with one inch threaded BSP ports. The connecting hose is 1 metre.
	1 inch BSP Pump to 1.5 inch Connector Kit. This connector kit enables you to connect the Garden Steelpump or other 1 inch BSP pumps to tanks with one and a half inch threaded BSP ports. The connecting hose is 1 metre.
