The Forta Duo pump is ideal for pumping rainwater from a water butt or larger water tank. It can give mains water pressure to give practical coverage when watering deep borders or lawns. It is submersible so it can be left inside a water tank (that has a lid). Best of all it is clever enough to run when you open the tap and switch off again when you close it - so no more sprinting back to turn it off when you have finished watering.
A water butt pump for underground and overground water tanks
The Forta Duo pump is so versatile that it can be used in countless applications:
- pumping water from one water tank or water butt to another
- pumping water through an open ended hose
- use with a hose that has a trigger gun on it
- use with jet nozzles (it provides a high pressure water supply)
- use with sprinklers for your lawn
The pump has electronic flow control and dry-run protection. This means that if your water butt or water tank runs out, the pump will stop. It also means that if you use a trigger gun on your hose, when you stop the flow, the pump will stop pumping so you don't need to run back and switch it off.
The Forta Duo has a rugged design. It can be left outside all year round, and it can even be placed inside the water tank (if you have a tank that has a removable lid). It needs a filtered rainwater supply, so it comes with a large cartridge inlet filter to ensure reliable operation. The pump can supply water at over 4 bar of pressure allowing it to push water uphill as high as 134 feet (41 metres). Using the pump, the flow rate through a 1/2 inch hosepipe is similar to mains water.

What else do you need with the pump?
Each Forta Duo pump is supplied with an inlet filter, and an outlet connector that allows you to connect 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch or 1 inch hose. In addition you may need a kit to connect the pump to your water tank or water butt. The pump has a one inch BSP inlet port.
