Cut your
energy
bills and
reduce your
carbon footprint
with the Laptop Computer Intellipanel. This eco-friendly
extension plug
automatically
switches
off all computer peripherals at the mains when you leave
your
computer on standby.
Say Goodbye to Standby
The Intellipanel automatically switches off peripheral computer
equipment, such as the
monitor,
printer, scanner, and speakers, when
the computer is not in use. This includes when you switch the
computer off and when the computer goes into standby mode.
You can leave your computer during your lunchbreak; when your computer
goes into standby mode, the monitor, the printer and the speakers will
switch off at the mains. When you return to your work,
they'll
all automatically switch back on.
The Intellipanel is easy to set up – simply plug it in. It
uses auto-calibration via USB to work out your
computer's individual energy modes. This means it always
knows
when your computer is on standby, and
powers down peripheral equipment
at the right time, every time. With a thirty second reaction time, you
won't be left waiting around
for your equipment to power up.
Slash your Energy Bills
A
computer plug with
an
automatic power switch
means no more
wasted power.
Computer equipment left on standby uses an average of 35 watts of
energy per hour, costing your money and increasing your carbon
footprint. The Laptop Computer Intellipanel uses just 0.15
watts
per hour.
Saving every possible watt of energy is becoming increasingly important
in the
fight against
global warming,
and as energy bills rise. Recent research by price comparison
site uSwitch.com found
energy
bills have
doubled in the last five years.
Give Your Computer a
Longer Life
Using the Laptop Intellipanel will prolong the life of your computer
equipment. Research shows that leaving computer equipment on
standby reduces equipment lifespan by an average of 15%, as well as
creating an unnecessary fire risk.
In addition, the Intellipanel automatically works out the optimum
amount of power to send to your computer equipment to create the least
amount of circuit stress. This lengthens the life of
components,
making your computer less likely to break down.
Built-in surge protection protects your computer against power surges
and spikes. The Intellipanel includes a thermal fuse to
protect
against catastrophic power spikes.
Keeping your computer in tip-top condition is good for the environment.
The longer a computer lasts, the longer it stays out of landfill.
Attaches to Wall or Desk
The Laptop Computer Intellipanel features eight power sockets, and can
be attached to a wall or desk to hide it away.
The Intellipanel also includes telephone and broadband surge
protection, and a telephone splitter to split one input line into two.
Please note: the Laptop
Computer
Intellipanel is not suitable for use with desktop computers.
If
you have a desktop computer, see the Desktop
Computer Intellipanel.

FAQs
My Laptop IntelliPanel™
doesn’t seem
to be working?
It is really important to ensure that
your laptop
computer is connected to the Master Socket on the IntelliPanel™ so it
might be worth checking that before we go any further. The next thing
to check is the USB cable (which we have provided), you need to make
sure it is connected to your laptop correctly and the RJ12 socket is
attached to the IntelliPanel™. That can be a bit complicated so you
might want to take another look at the Laptop configuration
instructions. Plug your peripherals into the IntelliPanel™ but make
sure they are all seated properly, if they aren’t they may not be
connecting correctly. When you switch your laptop computer on, wait
until the operating software of the computer (i.e. Windows) has fully
loaded. The laptop will then recognise the IntelliPanel™ and switch the
peripherals on whenever you activate the laptop.
Can I use my Laptop
IntelliPanel™ with
a desktop computer?
Yes, that’s fine, but you must make sure
you have a
spare USB socket on your desktop computer (do not connect via a USB
Hub). However we would recommend that you use the
CSIMP205.
Why does the Laptop
IntelliPanel™ have
a permanent on socket?
We are aware that some devices require
permanent
power, fax machines for example don’t tend to work very well when they
are switched off! So we thought we’d add that socket so you can still
have all your office equipment connected in one place.
Can I plug more than one
item into the
permanent on socket?
Yes, all you need to do is use the
IntelliPanel™ in
conjunction with a trailing socket or adaptor. (The ones we all have
lying around the house) We have tried to make our products as versatile
and as adaptable as possible, by using the IntelliPanel™ in this way
you won’t have wasted any money on those trailing sockets/adaptor.
There’s no need to worry about safety, our products are designed to
meet British Standards, which means that they are entirely safe to use
in this manner.
Does switching my laptop
and
peripherals on and off reduce the lifespan of the system?
No. Things have moved on in leaps and
bounds since
the old days and the performance of modern electrical components is no
longer compromised by turning appliances on and off (so we don’t have
an excuse for not doing it!).
The Laptop IntelliPanel™
switches
power on after a delay of a few seconds, is this normal?
Absolutely, we called it the
IntelliPanel™ for a
reason, it will only allow power to be sent to your equipment once it
has ensured that power really is required. It does this by continuously
monitoring the activity of a specific aspect in your laptop, it’s
nothing to worry about!
Does the Laptop
IntelliPanel™ have
surge protection?
Yes, it has surge protection for the
computer, all
peripherals, and the telephone/modem splitter.
What is the life
expectancy of the
Laptop IntelliPanel™?
We’re big believers in producing quality
innovations
and we think selling poor quality products to our customers is
unacceptable. We have designed the IntelliPanel™ to last for more than
1 million cycles, that’s down to hard wearing parts and technical
innovation. You can use the IntelliPanel™ more than 180 times a day and
it should still work for more than 15 years. It will pay for itself
many times over and we think that’s only fair! Even our original panel
is still working after 18 years and you can imagine how much we’ve put
that through!
Can the Laptop
IntelliPanel™ damage my
equipment?
No. We wouldn’t supply you with a
product that we
weren’t 100% happy with. The OneClick products can actually help your
equipment last longer, by reducing stress to the components when you
switch the peripherals on and off. This is down to our patented Zero
Crossing Detection.
One of my peripherals
switches off but
does not switch back on, why is this?
In very few instances, some peripherals
have soft
switches, which automatically default to ‘off’ in the event of a power
cut. We’re sorry but in this instance you will have to manually switch
the power on to this device (The IntelliPanel™ is clever but we haven’t
found a way for it to physically turn things on yet…but we are working
on it!).
Do I need a separate
remote control to
operate the Laptop IntelliPanel™?
No. We don’t believe in wasting money
and resources
so we designed the Laptop IntelliPanel™ to detect an operational change
when you switch your laptop off, only then, will the Laptop
IntelliPanel™ power down your peripherals automatically.
I have more than six
peripheral
devices that I need to plug into the Laptop IntelliPanel™, how do I
achieve this?
All you need to do is use the
IntelliPanel™ in
conjunction with a trailing socket or adaptor (the ones we all have
lying around the house). We have tried to make our products as
versatile and as adaptable as possible, by using the IntelliPanel™ in
this way you won’t have wasted any money on those trailing
sockets/adaptors and you’re saving electricity. There’s no need to
worry about safety, our products are designed to meet British
Standards, which means that they are entirely safe to use in this
manner.
I have a USB Hub with
LED’s which is
powered by the Laptop IntelliPanel™. When I switch off the computer the
LED’s on my mouse, keyboard, USB Hub etc stay on. Why?
The mouse, keyboard, USB Hub etc are
connected to
the USB socket of the computer. These sockets are permanently powered
and so may cause the LED’s to illuminate, it’s nothing to worry about.
Do I need to route my
telephone/broadband through the Laptop IntelliPanel™?
We suggest that you do but it’s entirely
up to you.
We’ve put it there so you can have complete piece of mind. If you
decide to run your telephone/broadband through the IntelliPanel™ you
can rest assured that they will have the benefit of surge protection.
If I connect my telephone
to the
Laptop IntelliPanel™ will I still be able to use it when the computer
is switched off?
Of course, we know you’d like to protect
your
equipment against surge so OneClick designed this panel to work with
you, not against you. We’re trying to make life easier. The
telephone/broadband lines on the IntelliPanel™ have permanent power,
that means you can still use them even when you have switched off the
rest of your equipment.
How do I route my
broadband through
Laptop IntelliPanel™?
It’s really easy, please see our
telephone/broadband
configuration instructions.
