Powerfilm solar panel is rugged, lightweight, and extremely
flexible. It is ideal for recharging batteries from
which devices draw power. The portability of the Powerfilm makes it
ideal for applications where you need to put up and take down your
solar panel regularly. It is also the best option for backpackers who
need a light but effective means of charging their portable devices
(those that charge using a 12V car cigarette lighter connector).
The Rough and Tough Take-Everywhere Solar Panel
This
durable solar panel is designed for top performance in all
environments. The Powerfilm solar panels function in hot sun without
suffering from overvoltage. It uses marine grade components and
UV-stabilized materials and its build is so tough that you can even
walk on it. It is of course waterproof. Despite this rugged
quality, the largest Powerfilm weighs
only 1.8 lbs.
Quick and Easy Set Up
The Powerfilm is a truly rollable thin film solar panel available.
Other thin film
solar panels are only somewhat flexible. By contrast, the Powerfilm is
supple enough to roll up into a storage tube. It is also
paper thin -
similar in thickness to canvas tarpaulin. Set
up is simple. The Powerfilm comes ready to connect to a 12V
battery.
Corner grommets enable the Powerfilm to be tied to the outside of a
tent, rucksack, boat deck, or car roof rack. It can also be stuck to
smooth, firm surfaces using PVA glue.
Eco-Friendly Power
Powerfilm
is made primarily from silicon which is a natural resource and unlike
many solar technologies, the
Powerfilm solar panel is free from the toxic metal cadmium. In
addition, the solar panels in the Powerfilm are monolithically
integrated, so are far less damage prone than the more commonly used
manual connections between individual solar cells.
The Powerfilm is ideal for uses where flexibility is
important, or where a very thin solar panel is needed.
