The Solar Bulkhead PIR (Passive Infra Red) Lighting Kit is ideally
suited for locations that are frequently used, that require lighting
during the dark hours, but do not have easy access to mains
electricity. The system is movement activated (to make the battery last
longer) and the perfect source of lighting for places such as pub
smoking areas, public toilets, bus stops, yards etc.
Utility lighting with no utility bill
The Solar bulkhead Lighting Kit has a high power light unit with a
brightness equivalent to a 45 Watt bulb but actually using a 9 Watt
energy saving bulkhead light fitting. The bulb is powered by a 12 Amp
hour sealed solar battery (supplied) which sits in a waterproof battery
enclosure. The battery is charged by a 5 Wp solar panel via a charge
controller to avoid over charging.
The kit is supplied ready assembled. All that the user needs to do is
to wire the bulk head light to the control box. Using the included 10
metres of cable the light unit can be mounted remotely from the control
box in order that it is out of sight or so that the solar panel is
located best for direct sunshine (see image below).
The Solar Bulkhead Lighting Kit includes an all weather PIR (Passive
Infra Red) sensor which is mounted remotely on the control box for
security. It can be adjusted for sensitivity and time.
