Get
free heat
from
waste paper with
minimal
effort and
fuss using the Eko-Mania Dry
Paper Log maker.
Easy and safe to use,
this dry paper log maker recycles waste paper into a
carbon neutral
heat source for burning on an open fire or wood burning
stove.
Logs
can be made from old newspapers, junk mail, shredded paper,
cardboard, wood chippings, used wrapping paper, old teabags, sawdust,
and twigs.
No Need to Soak Paper
With the dry paper log
maker, there's
no need to
soak paper
before shaping it into a log. Logs will burn for up to 30 minutes, and
require no toxic chemicals
or firelighters to set them aflame.
This custom-made,
environmentally friendly log maker uses an aluminium tube and plunger
to
compress dry paper into cylinder-shaped logs.
Reduce your energy bill
During 2008 the
price of fossil fuels sky-rocketed, pushing the average household
energy bill up 42%, or £381 per year. The majority
of energy used by households goes into heating the home. Using waste
paper to produce your own fuel is
completely free,
and will
significantly reduce your heating bill.
Environmentally
Friendly
Using a paper brick
maker is one of the most
eco-friendly
and low-cost ways to heat your
home. Burning paper bricks reduces your use of fossil fuels such as
gas, coal, and oil. Paper bricks are a carbon neutral energy source
– the carbon dioxide released by burning the bricks is equal to the
carbon dioxide absorbed by the tree that was grown to make the paper.
Making your own paper
brings recycling into your own home, rather than sending waste
paper away on a diesel-hungry dustbin lorry.
The Dry Paper Log Maker
is custom-made by Eko-mania, the UK's largest distributor of paper
log makers.
Instructions
Roll up a sheet of newspaper to
create a tube-shaped casing. Tuck this casing into the paper log
maker tube, and stand the tube upright on a flat surface.
Fill the
outer tube with paper or other suitable material. Insert the plunger
and compress the waste. Repeat until the tube is full.
Use the plunger
to eject the log. Twist the loose ends of newspaper to seal the log.
The log is immediately ready for burning.
