Solar Panel Calculator

Use this calculator to work out what size of solar panel you need.

1. List the appliances you want to use in the left had column.
   
2. Enter the power (in Watts) of each appliance in the middle column.
   
3. Decide the number of hours you want to use each appliance and put these numbers in the right hand column.
   
4. Next, estimate how many hours of sunshine you will have to charge the solar panel (in the UK you can assume 10 or more in the summer and 6 or fewer in the winter). Enter this number in the Hours of sunlight box.
   
5. Finally click the Calculate button. Choose the solar panel with a power higher or equal to the answer given after "Required Watts"
