A classic British design with over 100 years recognition, the Sheila
Maid Ceiling Airer is an
essential
item for any green household. Practical and well
constructed this traditional
energy
saving clothes airer is a perfect solution for
eco-friendly drying. The Sheila Maid Ceiling Airer can cut a large
chunk out of your
carbon
footprint because your tumble dryer
contributes 0.15
tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
Low tech traditional design, perfect for modern use
This Sheila Maid® Clothes Airer is available in a standard 4
lath format, or in extra wide 6 lath format. Both designs are
constructed with
strong
wooden rails, and come with a
single pulley, double pulley, cleat hook and 10 metres of jute rope. It
is available in
four
length and six colour options (please choose at the bottom
of
this page) so the Sheila Maid Clothes Airer is perfect for any kitchen
or utility room.
Easily adaptable
to your specific needs, additional double pulleys can also be purchased
to keep the rope closer to your ceiling (choose below). These
additional pulleys are
particularly
useful
if you have high or sloping ceilings or if your Sheila Maid Ceiling
Airer is to be placed some distance away from the wall. Using
additional pulleys you can ensure that your jute rope is flush to the
wall, and not diagonally
falling from your Sheila Maid to the securing rope end cleat. Read the
installation
instructions here.
The Sheila Maid® Ceiling Airer is
great for use when the weather is too wet to use a garden washing line
and perfect for people who do not have a garden.
