Save
money and the environment with Knauf Loft Insulation. With loft
insulation installed, you’ll
pay
less for your energy bill and reduce
your carbon footprint. For those planning a DIY installation, you’ll be
pleased to know that Crown Loft Roll 44 is designed for simple
installation.
Cost Effective
Insulating
you loft will save you money on your energy bill. A quarter of heat
loss in an uninsulated house is through the loft. By installing
insulation, you’ll be saving money off your heating bill and helping
the environment. With the price of electricity and gas beginning to
skyrocket, loft insulation is rapidly becoming a must have choice for
both the money savvy and the eco-conscious.
On average, a
household that installs
loft insulation saves £205 per year off their
heating bill. That means a DIY installation costing £300 will pay for
itself in less than 18 months. If you’ve already got some
loft
insulation and you’re installing a top up, you can expect to save
around £60 per year. A DIY top-up costing £200 would pay for itself
within four years.
Environmentally Friendly
A well-insulated
home is an environmentally friendly home. Installing loft insulation to
the recommended thickness will reduce your carbon footprint by about 1
tonne per year – 10% of the average Brit’s annual carbon emissions.
Crown Loft Roll is classified as having
zero
Ozone Depletion
Potential (ODP) and zero Global Warming Potential (GWP). It is free
from CFCs and HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion
potential in its manufacture and content and represents no known threat
to the environment.
Easy to Install
Crown Loft
Roll 44 Combi-cut is designed for easy installation. It comes
perforated to save you time on installation. The perforations allow you
to divide the loft roll into 2 rolls of 570mm width
or
3 rolls of 380mm width.
Loft
Roll 44 is made from lightweight and flexible mineral wool. Mineral
wool insulation is designed for use at ceiling level in lofts with
pitched roofs. It can also be used to insulate floors and partition
walls – useful for both warmth and stopping noise travelling. Mineral
wool insulation is non-combustible – so it provides some protection
against the spread of fire. It will not rot, smell, or encourage the
growth of fungi.
Basic installation instructions are included (and
see our guide).
For DIY installation,
