The
Naturewarm Luxury
Pillows are made by a unique method of manufacture that fills them
with small tufts of sheepswool. This creates a luxurious pillow with
a high level of bounce back when you lift your head. Being filled
with sheepswool the contents are renewable, natural and
biodegradable.
Pillows filled with small balls of
sheepswool
The
Naturewarm Pillows
are covered with cotton fabric giving a high quality and soft finish.
They are available in two shapes: square and rectangular. Each will
give you a deep and comfortable sleep.
Why wool?
A better sleep at night
At some point we have all had a bad
night's sleep
because of being too warm or too cold. And that bad sleep can lead to
poor concentration and a weaker immune system. Wool bedding allows
you to maintain a steady temperature which in turn promotes a lower
heart rate and this results in a better, more restful night.
Suitable all year round
Wool bedding can be used
throughout the year
– it keeps you at a moderate temperature in the summer and warm in
the winter. On cold winter nights, the air voids between the fibres
of wool allow your body warmth to circulate, keeping you at a
comfortable temperature. Compared to synthetic fibres, wool is also
very absorbent. It takes moisture away from our bodies in hot
weather, keeping your skin dry and avoiding the clammy feeling that
comes with a polyester equivalent.
Health and Safety
Wool is comparatively flame-retardant.
If it
catches alight it has a low burn rate and may self-extinguish. By
comparison synthetic fibres resist ignition, but once lit they melt
causing localised and extremely severe burns. Also of importance is
the fact that wool does not generate toxic gases that cause breathing
problems.
Easy to maintain
Naturewarm pillows may
be washed at 40ºC but the problem is drying them. We recommend that the
pillows are best maintained by using a pillow cover which can be
washed. As with all the Naturewarm bedding products, 2 or 3 hours
outside on a warm and sunny day will maintain the pillows in good
condition, so they could be aired while the pillow case is being
laundered.
Dry cleaning is also an option, although not such an eco-friendly one.
Friendly to the environment
Naturewarm
products are British
made, with British wool. This gives them a low carbon footprint an
supports British farmers. The wool is renewable, natural and
biodegradable.
