The
Naturewarm Luxury
Wool Duvet is the ideal alternative to synthetic duvets. A
wool
filled duvet allows you to maintain a comfortable temperature
during your sleep. By contrast a synthetic duvet can lead to nights
spent throwing the duvet off and then waking up feeling too cold.
Wool is also a natural, renewable fibre that is more energy efficient
in its production than most other fibres.
Treat yourself to a calm, restful, and
deep sleep
The
benefits of a duvet
are the ease with which you can make your bed, and the freedom to
move around in bed instead of being “tied down” by sheets. But
modern duvets with synthetic fillings fail to give the warmth and
comfort that was possible with traditional, natural wool blankets.
The Naturewarm wool duvet is the solution: a duvet with a wool
filling to give the convenience and flexibility of a duvet, combined
with the warmth of a wool blanket.
These
wool duvets are
filled with pure sheep's wool which is
environmentally
friendly, sustainable, and is produced and manufactured in Great
Britain. They have a 100% cotton quilted cover which offers luxurious
wrap-around comfort.
Why wool?
A better sleep at night
At some point we have all had a bad
night's sleep
because of being too warm or too cold. And that bad sleep can lead to
poor concentration and a weaker immune system. Wool bedding allows
you to maintain a steady temperature which in turn promotes a lower
heart rate and this results in a better, more restful night.
Suitable all year round
Wool bedding can be used
throughout the year
– it keeps you at a moderate temperature in the summer and warm in
the winter. On cold winter nights, the air voids between the fibres
of wool allow your body warmth to circulate, keeping you at a
comfortable temperature. Compared to synthetic fibres, wool is also
very absorbent. It takes moisture away from our bodies in hot
weather, keeping your skin dry and avoiding the clammy feeling that
comes with a polyester equivalent.
Health and Safety
Wool is comparatively flame-retardant.
If it
catches alight it has a low burn rate and may self-extinguish. By
comparison synthetic fibres resist ignition, but once lit they melt
causing localised and extremely severe burns. Also of importance is
the fact that wool does not generate toxic gases that cause breathing
problems.
Easy to maintain
Naturewarm duvets are filled with beautiful British wool: soft and
light and suitable for use throughout the year. They are easy to
maintain in good condition by following some simple rules. Although
domestic washing machines are not normally large enough, the duvets may
be washed at 40ºC. They should not be dried in a tumble dryer.
Naturewarm duvets may also be professionally dry cleaned, but two hours
on the washing line on a dry, sunny day is adequate to keep the
products clean and in top condition.
Friendly to the environment
Naturewarm
products are British
made, with British wool. This gives them a low carbon footprint an
supports British farmers. The wool is renewable, natural and
biodegradable.
