Naturewarm
Sheepswool Bedtopper is the ideal enhancement for your mattress, be
it new or old. It is a wool filled
bedtopper to give a layer of extra softness to your existing
mattress. Place the bedtopper onto your mattress, under
the
bottom sheet for immediate comfort and warmth.

The
Naturewarm
Sheepswool Bedtopper is covered in 100% cotton and filled with pure
sheepswool, to give a weight of 800 g/m2. It comes with elasticated
corners to keep the topper firmly in place and once you have lain on
it, you will wonder how you ever slept without it.
Why wool?
A better sleep at night
At some point we have all had a bad
night's sleep
because of being too warm or too cold. And that bad sleep can lead to
poor concentration and a weaker immune system. Wool bedding allows
you to maintain a steady temperature which in turn promotes a lower
heart rate and this results in a better, more restful night.
Suitable all year round
Wool bedding can be used
throughout the year
– it keeps you at a moderate temperature in the summer and warm in
the winter. On cold winter nights, the air voids between the fibres
of wool allow your body warmth to circulate, keeping you at a
comfortable temperature. Compared to synthetic fibres, wool is also
very absorbent. It takes moisture away from our bodies in hot
weather, keeping your skin dry and avoiding the clammy feeling that
comes with a polyester equivalent.
Health and Safety
Wool is comparatively flame-retardant.
If it
catches alight it has a low burn rate and may self-extinguish. By
comparison synthetic fibres resist ignition, but once lit they melt
causing localised and extremely severe burns. Also of importance is
the fact that wool does not generate toxic gases that cause breathing
problems.
Easy to maintain
As with all Naturewarm products, bedtoppers may be washed at 40ºC or
professionally dry-cleaned. A couple of hours on the line
on a warm, sunny day helps to maintain the bedtopper’s hypoallergenic
properties: dust-mites do not survive in the fresh air. Wool filled
bedtoppers should not be tumble dried.
Friendly to the environment
Naturewarm
products are British
made, with British wool. This gives them a low carbon footprint an
supports British farmers. The wool is renewable, natural and
biodegradable.
