Composting is a natural process of
decomposing organic matter into a valuable resource, which provides
many benefits to man and the environment. This
250 litre Thermo Compost Bin
uses a pin system for easy assembly and is
manufactured from 100% recycled PE which can itself be recycled again.
A compact Compost Bin for the small to medium garden
The breakdown of organic matter is quicker and
more efficient if the temperature of the compost is raised. The Thermo
Compost Bin is made using an injection moulded PE foaming
process that expands
the plastic and traps in air, providing
better heat insulation
properties. This design aids aerobic composting and
easier turning, to build up the heat of the material in the early
stages, killing most weed seeds and plant pathogens. The thick modular
panels contain a clever
aeration system of ventilation holes and internal ribs, preventing
blocking and providing optimum moisture and temperature conditions
while the
evenly spaced ventilation holes guarantee an ideal
environment for a high rate of decomposition, even with layers of grass
clippings.
Filling the Thermo with material is easy
through the wide hinged lid. This also allows for easy
control of moisture (rain intake). Access for the removal of compost is
achieved by pulling
out any one
connecting rods linking modular
panels. This allows either
partial or complete opening of the
front
or sides of the bin.
The 250 litre Thermo Compost Bin construction is extremely robust and
sturdy, with a bin empty weight of 17kg so it will not blow
over easily in strong winds. A long lifespan is achieved with added
stabilisers for UV light protection.
The vertical four sided shape gives
optimum
performance with minimum use of space
. The Composter can be assembled in minutes
without tools - instructions with pictures are provided.
It can be sited on loosened level soil, without
digging in. Worms and micro-organisms in the
soil, interact with organic compostable waste materials breaking it
down
into an earthy compost, rich in nutrients for supporting the growth of
healthy plants and vegetables.

Delivery
Usually Dispatched in 1-2 weeks. The Compost Bin is a relatively large
parcel so it
will be sent by courier. This means that deliveries to
the Highlands of Scotland or any offshore location will incur an
