Fashioned for
country
cottage gardens,
this
galvanised steel
composter
has a rustic look, combined with a classic design that makes it simple
to use. At roughly 40 litres capacity it is the smallest composter we
offer, and is suited to the small garden.
Solid Metal Build
The shiny raw metal of this composter naturally complements the
surrounding greenery of any garden. Constructed from
galvanised
steel to protect it from rust, this
tough
and rugged composter is built to last.
Simple to Use Design
The cone shaped design of the galvanised composter prevents compost
from sticking to the sides, ensuring that waste collects together at
the
base of the composter for rapid decomposing. The easy-open
lid
makes it simple to dispose of garden waste and kitchen scraps to create
a
rich, nutritious
compost
for your plants.
The front hatch at the base of the composter gives you access to fresh
compost without disturbing waste you've recently disposed of.
This means you'll have a
constant
supply of compost from a single composter.
Worm-Friendly
Worms love compost. Their presence helps to speed up the composting
process and gives a richer compost. If the galvanised
composter
is placed on soil or grass, worms will enter to help create compost
from your waste.
What waste can I compost?
The galvanised composter is suitable for all compostable waste,
including vegetable peelings, fruit waste, teabags, plant prunings,
leaves, grass cuttings, shredded newspapers, wood ash, pet bedding,
vacuum dust and broken egg shells. See our
guide to
composting.
Recommended Location
Put on a level, well-drained spot. This allows excess water
to
escape and worms to enter. Putting your composter in a sunny
location speeds up the composting process
