Have compost ready whenever you need it with the revolutionary Earthmaker triple-chamber composter. The Earthmaker is faster, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly than traditional compost bins, making it good for your garden, good for the planet, and saving you time. The Earthmaker can provide you with a continuous source of fresh, high quality compost without the need for digging, turning, or transferring materials.

The Three Stages of Compost Production

All compost is produced in three stages: mixing waste materials, digesting waste into compost, and allowing the compost to mature. To produce fully mature compost with traditional compost bins the materials should be transferred between three bins as they progress through the three stages.

The Earthmaker is designed to make the traditional three-stage composting process as simple and easy as possible. It uses a unique triple chamber system to produce high quality compost without the need for three separate bins. With separate chambers for the mixing, digesting, and maturing processes, the Earthmaker is a truly all-in-one compost bin.

Top Quality Compost with Minimal Effort

Compost doesn't have to be dirty. The Earthmaker compost bin is quick and simple to set up, and requires just a few minutes of attention every three to six weeks. Put your daily kitchen scraps and garden waste into the top chamber of the Earthmaker, and within twelve to fifteen weeks you'll have a constant supply of fresh compost, ready for your garden.

Unlike traditional composters that require the effort of regularly lifting and turning the compost by hand to produce a quality end result, the Earthmaker lets gravity do all the hard work for you. Its triple chamber design means that it automatically aerates the compost, ensuring that with minimal effort you will end up with compost of the highest quality rather than a stinking, anaerobic mess.

Because the Earthmaker's triple chamber system lets gravity do the hard work of composting, it can be used by anyone, whatever their age or ability.

Extra-Environmentally Friendly

Traditionally produced compost needs to be mixed regularly to aerate it with oxygen. Many households don't bother with this, because it takes time and effort, and can cause the mixing of fresh kitchen waste with compost that's ready to use.

Fail to mix compost, and it will rot and turn smelly. The smell means its decomposing anaerobically and producing methane, a greenhouse gas twenty times more potent than carbon dioxide.

The Earthmaker's triple chamber system ensures that fresh waste is always kept separate from compost that's ready to use. The separate chambers automatically aerate your compost, bathing the compost materials in oxygen as they move from shelf to shelf.

As with all composters, using the Earthmaker is a wonderful educational tool for teaching children about the cycle of life and caring for the environment. Worms love the Earthmaker too – it's a natural worm farm.

Twice as Productive as Traditional Composters

The Earthmaker provides constant fresh compost, so you'll always have compost when you need it. From the day you start using your composter, you'll have quality compost within 12-15 weeks. Once the Earthmaker starts producing compost, it will provide you with 20-30 litres of excellent compost every month.

In a full year, the Earthmaker will digest 1,000-1,500kg of kitchen and garden waste, producing 200-300 litres of compost.

In a 2006 trial lasting 26 weeks, the Sustainable Waste Management Team at Garden Organic found that the Earthmaker produces up to twice as much ready-to-use compost compared to traditional single chamber compost bins. The researchers commented that the Earthmaker is easy to assemble, use, and empty.
