Hotline HT Lead-out Cable

Every poultry net needs power to make it effective. You have your electricity supplying your energizer; you have your fence - this HT Lead Out Cable is what connects the two. It's insulated for use outdoors, fitting neatly under gateways, but most importantly it protects you and your animals from high voltages being carried through the lead.

This HT Lead is made from 1.6mm galvanised steel, insulated to 18,000v.
You must never use ordinary household cable for use with poultry kits.

How does it work?

Your poultry net can be powered from the mains or leisure battery via an energizer. If you have the energizer powered by a battery and mounted right next to the fence you will not need this HT lead. However if your energizer is mains powered it will need to be housed indoors or in a shelter so it will probably not be located next to the end of your electric fence. You then need to connect the energizer to this HT Lead Out Cable, which extends outdoors, attaches to your netting and charges the fence.

Whatever birds you keep as pets, or farm for eggs and meat, they need protecting. The HT Lead connects your energizer to your Poultry Netting, which in turn gives your animals the space to roam freely and away from predators.
