Earthly Treasure is a fun and educational book from Kate Petty. This book is full of delightful pop ups, pull tabs and explains to children just what is going on below our feet in an engaging way. Aimed at 7 to 9 year olds, this book will entertain and inform.

Beneath the surface

Kate Petty's interactive guide to the world below us is a pleasure for parents and children alike. Earthly Treasure helps children discover the minerals, fuels and rocks that make up our planet. By explaining how minerals get from beneath the ground to our dinner tables, ovens and even into our jewellery, this clever and beautifully illustrated book allows children to relate the outside world to their everyday lives. It encourages an ecological outlook on life and has been created in association with The Eden Project.

Kate Petty is the author of several other popular pop-up books include The Great Grammar Book and The Wonderful World Book. She also wrote teenage fiction. Kate sadly passed away in 2007.
